'The US Versus John Lennon' is set to be released on Feb 13. The movie focuses on Lennon's causes and why the United States tried to deport him from the country.

This marks a great week for Beatles fans. Yesterday there was a report that Paul McCartney is releasing a new track that features Lennon on vocals.

Now if McCartney could just get him out the scandal sheets and get in the recording studio or on tour....

Paul McCartney is planning to release a lost John Lennon song according to reports.

Apparently Macca is desperate to work on the abandoned track entitled ‘Now And Then’ and possibly release it as a single.

A source told the Daily Express: "It has always bothered Paul a bit that they didn't finish 'Now And Then'. Although George wasn't keen, Paul always felt the song had a lot of potential.”

“He is now hoping to complete it, with him singing the harmonies to John's lead vocal. It would be very moving to hear the two of them singing one last time.”

McCartney originally planned to work on the song at the same time as he and the former Beatles we reworking ‘Free As A Bird’ and ‘Real Love’.

Abbey Road On The River, which got its start here in Cleveland, is expanding. If your a fan of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Star you have to go to one of these events as they are loads of fun. Here is the full details:

What: Plans for Abbey Road At The Mountain, an international Beatles Tribute Festival will be announced on Tuesday, January 10, 2007.

Where: The sounds and celebration of John, Paul, George, and Ringo will emanate from The Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain with the arrival of Abbey Road At The Mountain.

When: The all-day event, the first ever spin off of the world famous Abbey Road On The River, annually held in Louisville, KY will be June 2, 2007 at The Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain.

Who: Bringing the event to Scranton is Coors Light and local beer distributor and importer, LT Verrastro.

The festival is an all-day marathon music, art, and food festival honoring and celebrating The BeatlesÂ®, and features some of the worldâ€™s best-known Beatles tribute acts, as well as other productions celebrating the music and legacy of the legendary group.

The multi-stage music festival in Scranton will include more than twenty famed BeatleÂ® Tribute Bands from as far as the Czech Republic, Sweden, Greece, Germany, Norway, Canada, and of course, England, and The USA.

The family friendly event is expected to attract over 10,000 Beatles fans, many of whom will visit from all over the world.

British music superstars Paul McCartney and Robbie Williams have joined forces in a battle over the United Kingdom's copyright laws. At issue is the fact that under the British statute musical recordings expire after 50 years. The United States copyright law for music is 95 years and that is what artists in Britain want the law to be extended to. This would be a major blow to The Beatles as many of their first hits will expire starting in the year in 2012.

Just when you didn't think the divorce between Paul McCartney and Heather Mills could get any uglier it is getting plain outrageous. In court papers filed there are allegations that Paul attacked Heather with a wine bottle and refused to let her use a bedpan. Heather claims 4 attacks in the 4 year marriage. It will be interesting to see how the British public reacts to the new claims as they have supported the former Beatle throughout this ordeal. LONDON (Reuters) - British tabloids are licking their lips as Paul McCartney's divorce from his wife Heather becomes increasingly ugly, and comparisons with the bitter split between Britain's Prince Charles and Diana 10 years ago are already being made.

On Wednesday the gossip-hungry newspapers splashed pictures of 38-year-old Heather Mills McCartney over the front pages after she hired Anthony Julius, Princess Diana's divorce lawyer, to handle her case.

Former Beatle McCartney, with a fortune of about 825 million pounds ($1.5 billion), had already appointed Fiona Shackleton, who happened to represent Britain's Prince Charles in the 1996 divorce.

"Battle Royal" is what newspapers have dubbed the McCartney case, which looks set to be played out in the full glare of the media spotlight. "All You Need Is Hate" was the headline in the Daily Express.

The hiring of identical lawyers in both cases provides a striking parallel.

Anthony Julius, nicknamed "Anthony Genius", was considered by some to be the winner in their first famous courtroom tussle, securing an estimated 17 million pounds for Diana.

The financial stakes in the McCartney case are far higher, with lawyers predicting Mills could win up to a quarter of her husband's fortune, or more than 200 million pounds.

Shackleton, known as the "Steel Magnolia" for her toughness, was credited with securing one concession from Diana, who agreed to give up the title "Her Royal Highness

SOMEONE'S SPYING ON THE 'CUTE BEATLE'!! The Paul McCartney/Heather Mills divorce is getting really ugly, says MSNBC.com and Britain's Sunday Mirror.

Reports say Mills got her hands on a taped phone conversation between McCartney and his daughter Stella, the fashion designer. In the tape, Stella, no fan of Mills to begin with, reportedly tells her dad she believes allegations that Mills was a high-class hooker, a charge former model Mills has denied.

"Paul's face went white as a sheet and he looked utterly stunned," when Mills played the tape for him, reports the Sunday Mirror. "He was shocked and staggered to discover that his private home phone had been secretly bugged."

Why I created this blog

People that know me in the "real world" would probably be shocked to find out that I am writing a blog that pokes fun at all things McCartney. I have spoke about the merits of the Beatles for as long as I could talk. I am a 29 year old guy who grew up with the Beatles music all around me. I like and still like their music today. When I was a very young kid I would listen to the Beatles after getting home from 1st grade and would get made fun unmercifully by kids for liking music that was so old. So why the change of heart for McCartney? Its not that I think he is musical hack. He has a lot of talent and I still enjoy much of his solo stuff. Its that I think he has lost his mind by becoming overly self-promotional. In my writings I am going to relay things of intrest in anti-McCartney. Hope to have you long on the Magical Mystery Tour of hatred. All comments good and bad are welcome.
